Join the False Creek Friends Board of Directors

False Creek Friends is interested in hearing from individuals who would like to join our Board of Directors and help advance our work to protect and improve the environmental health of False Creek.

We are currently a small, working board of four directors, overseeing a relatively modest organization. As such, we are looking for people who are not only enthusiastic about our mission but also willing to contribute actively to the organization’s work, direction, and day-to-day activities.

If you are interested, we invite you to use the attached form and upload a CV to outline:

  1. Your interest in False Creek specifically: What draws you to False Creek, its ecology, environmental challenges, and future? Why would you like to contribute to False Creek Friends?

  2. Your broader environmental interests: Tell us about your commitment to environmental protection, stewardship, sustainability, or related community initiatives.

  3. Your skills and experience: What professional expertise, practical abilities, community connections, or personal strengths could you bring to False Creek Friends? We welcome a range of backgrounds and skills, including organizational leadership, fundraising, communications, community engagement, environmental science, advocacy, and project management.

Above all, we are looking for committed, collaborative, and hands-on individuals who share our passion for a healthier False Creek and are interested in helping a small organization make a meaningful difference.
